My name is Shatzi Rainbow, and I love what I do! I began to study Massage Therapy in 2004, with the intention to influence good heath, relaxation, and longevity in our active lives. Whatever activity level that may be! Although this goal has not changed over the last 5 years, the meaning and capacity has! My educational journey of becoming a BodyWorker began by getting my Certified MassageTechnician certificate. The CMT study course was 150 hours and within it I learned the fundamentals of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Polarity (energy arts), and of course, Anatomy and Body Ergonomics. Most importantly, I began to learn how to listen to the client and the body. For most people, the CMT is a point of completion. However, it was only the beginning for me. I became enthralled and amazed with how the body responded to different techniques. I continued to study Lymphatic and Visceral Drainage, Myofacial Release, Trigger Point, and many other modalities. Although each technique addressed the body differently, they all spoke of listening and responding to the tissues themselves. It was this silent kinesthetic communication between practitioner and the client's body and mind that intrigued me the most! Now, after five years of study in the classroom and four years in practice, I am even more amazed by the body and its ability to communicate and transform.
